Shame Fitness — Terms of Use (EULA)

By downloading, installing, or using Shame Fitness (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These terms are between you and Shame Logic LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”).

1. Acceptance of terms

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

2. License grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to Apple's App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.

3. Description of service

Shame Fitness is a HealthKit-powered accountability app. It reads workout and step data from Apple Health, evaluates user-configured goals (gym schedule, weekly workout target, optional daily step goal), and generates humorous text roasts when goals are missed or backhanded compliments when you hit streaks.

Free tier includes unlimited text roasts and shareable roast image cards. Shame Logic Pro adds voice playback, choice of Sarah or Vinny voice coaches, opening lines, savage intensity options, roast history, and shareable video clips. Additional Navigator voice packs are not included at launch and may be offered separately in the future.

The App contains sarcastic, humorous, and potentially crude language depending on settings. Content is generated for entertainment and motivation — not medical, fitness, or health advice.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and managed via RevenueCat. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. We do not process payment card data.

As required by Apple's App Store guidelines, we may share in-app purchase consumption data with Apple to resolve refund requests. This is limited to transaction-relevant details.

5. Health and fitness disclaimer

Shame Fitness is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Activity data comes from Apple Health and may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for your exercise decisions and physical health. Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing a fitness program. Do not use the App while operating machinery or in situations where distraction could cause harm.

6. Content and conduct

AI-generated roasts may be unpredictable. You are responsible for adjusting intensity and profanity settings to a level appropriate for your situation. Do not use the App to harass others or share content in violation of applicable law or platform rules.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, voice characters, roast engine, and branding, is owned by Shame Logic LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may share roast cards and clips generated by the App for personal, non-commercial use subject to third-party platform terms.

8. User data and privacy

Our collection and use of data is described in the Privacy Policy. HealthKit data is read-only on your device; we do not sell your personal information.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHAME LOGIC LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction.

13. Changes to terms

We may modify these Terms by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Apple-specific terms

This agreement is between you and Shame Logic LLC, not Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. In the event of App failure to conform to warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it against you.
